Setup

The prerequisite for using the OFTP/TCP module is a functioning network connection (TCP/IP) to the other side. At least one side must have a fixed IP address or host name. Usually OFTP via TCP/IP is only used in closed networks like the ENX network due to the missing encryption. For encrypted data transmission via OFTP over the Internet, the OFTP2 module is used.

Make sure that the system running !MC5 is accessible from outside your local network via port 3305 (routing and firewalls have to be adapted accordingly). For outgoing connections, port 3305 is generally used as well (firewalls have to be adapted accordingly). For an overview of the network settings required by !MC5, modules and add-ons, see Introduction / Installation and Setup / Network Settings and Required Ports.

For a successful connection to your partner, you must have entered your own Odette identifier in advance. Further instructions are available in the chapter about OFTP / OFTP2.

Further, special settings are not necessary.
