OFTP/OFTP2

How do I activate the sending of acknowledgements of receipt (EERP/NERP)?

Sending an acknowledgement of receipt (EERP or NERP) is mandatory in the Odette protocol. Therefore, it is not possible to explicitly activate or deactivate it. EERPs or NERPs are always sent automatically by !MC5. However, this can only happen in a later connection than the one in which the file was received.

Why are EERPs/NERPs not transmitted directly after receiving files?

EERPs and NERPs can be transferred asynchronously. The OFTP protocol does not require that the transfer occur during the same connection in which the files were transferred. EERPs/NERPs can be sent on any subsequent connection. If a partner complains that it has not received any EERPs and there are no log entries about the sending of the EERPs/NERPs, then perform a connection setup without files to this partner. In this case, any EERPs/NERPs that are ready are sent automatically.

My partner sometimes does not receive EERPs or one partner receives the EERPs for another partner.

If a partner complains that he has not received an EERP/NERP for some files (not even with a later connection), or if he has received an EERP/NERP for a file that he has never sent (with an SFID unknown to him), then this may be due to incorrect grouping of partner accounts. For partners assigned to a group, pending EERPs/NERPs are sent to the partner in the group that connects next. Groups should not be used for partner accounts of different companies!

Where can I find the custom Odette identifier used by !MC5 and how can it be changed?

You can find your own Odette ID under OFTP / OFTP2. You can enter it there or also change it.
