New features in version 5.5

The following is a list of new features and significant changes in !MC5 version 5.5.x with references to corresponding manual entries where available. The complete list of changes in all versions can be found in !MC5 via the menu item Help / Check for Updates.

Version 5.5.25

Certificate requests for new certificates or for the renewal of existing certificates can now be created directly in !MC5. The use of external tools, for example the Odette Tools for certificate requests with OdetteSecure, is thus no longer necessary.

Version 5.5.15

Protocol Analyser now shows the number of received and sent files as well as notes on warnings and errors for transmissions in the overview.

Version 5.5.14

New partners can be created by importing OFTP communication setup files. Automatic certificate exchange now also supports receiving and processing OFTP communication setup files (PDX).

Version 5.5.12

The monitoring of the running !MC5 instance by the Windows Service add-on has been extended by a heartbeat signal from !MC5. In case !MC5 stops responding for some reason, it also stops sending a heartbeat signal to the service. If the signal remains off for a longer period of time, then the !MC5 instance is automatically restarted by the service.

Version 5.5.7

All EDI message types can now be converted to predefined default XML formats as well as loaded from XML files with these formats without having to create special conversion rules. When exporting, all that is required for this is the setting of a check mark. When importing, data in one of the default XML formats is automatically recognized. For more information, see Data processing / EDI / Default XML.

Version 5.5.5

The Module FTP Client is available from this version on (See File transfer / FTP). With the Module FTP Client, data can be downloaded (unencrypted) via FTP from as well as uploaded to an FTP server. The module integrates itself, like all other transfer modules of !MC5, completely transparently into the modular system of !MC5.

Version 5.5.3

In EDI export rules, a pre-filter can be set from this version on. Using the pre-filters on export it can be controlled, for example, that an export rule is only applied to messages with certain content.

From this version on, the new functions PreProcessData and PostProcessData can be implemented in the script of conversion rules in order to change the raw data before and after conversion, respectively. Until now, it was necessary to set the corresponding filters in the EDI settings of the respective partner or the corresponding import or export rule.

Version 5.5.0

The AS2 module is available as of this version on (see File transfer / AS2 ). With the Module AS2 data can be sent and received via AS2 according to the recommendation RFC4130 (MIME-Based Secure Peer-to-Peer Business Data Interchange Using HTTP, Applicability Statement 2). The module integrates itself, like all other transmission modules of !MC5, completely transparently into the modular system of !MC5.
